For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Java Fullstack Developer (Java 8/17, Spring, SQL. PL/SQL)

This role is not suitable for zzp.

Your role

You will be part of a multidisciplinary and international agile squad that is responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating the systems it builds. You will be involved in the whole development lifecycle, from refining user stories until monitoring software in production.

As a Full-stack Engineer, we expect you to

• Have experience in an agile environment (DevOps, Scrum) with CI/CD practices

• Build, enhance and maintain our Java based Web applications and APIs, toolings and scripts

• Understand the goal of our business and collaborate with your colleagues to find the most relevant solution for the customer’s needs.

• Implement mandatory security standards to ensure IT risk is and remain under control

• Monitoring/troubleshooting/resolving incidents with cooperation from the Ops Engineers

• Be T-Shape: take on tasks/activities that contribute to the purpose, even when they are not entirely within your area of expertise

• Have a learning attitude that allows you to master new technologies and programming languages fast

• Be able to challenge the status quo and offer improvements that lead to higher quality/ease of use/maintainability

• Design high quality reusable code components and libraries that can be leveraged by multiple projects

• Be able to coach less experienced team members, share knowledge and feedback

• Be part of our on-call schedule for support outside office hours

Required skills

• Java 8 and 17 and Spring (Boot) Framework

• API design and development with JAX-RS and JAX-WS

• Hibernate

• SQL, PL/SQL

• Monitoring (Prometheus/ELK)

• HTML, JavaScript Frameworks, CSS

• JMeter, Test automation with Cucumber/Selenium

Nice to have

• Dojo framework

• Proven experience developing monolithic applications with a large and complex codebase. (ideally >5 years)

• Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Ansible

• Linux shell scripting
